Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

i was in a car accident.a nother car ran a red light and hit the car i was riding in causing me to hurt my back and neck.the driver of the car that hit us admitted to the cop that it was his fault and that he took 100 percent of the fault.so i went to the emergince room to get a checkup .i was told that i had cervical strain and back strain neck pain was perscribed two medicines pain killers and musal relaxers.so then i went back a week later for a follow up because i was still in pain.and that doctor told me that i had cervical strain,and lumbar strain and was given three more medacatoins pain killers,musal relaxers,anti inflamatorys .plus he wants me to strat physical therapy on may 8th.plus i have all the paper work to back me up. the insurance addjuster wants me to sigh a release for my medical records .should i do this,and if not why. i want to settle for 10000.dollors .can i get that much

I don't know. Perhaps you should be talking to your own insurance carrier because they're most likely put a subrogation agreement somewhere in your policy.
