Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

I was walking and tripped on a bad section of sidewalk. What are my legal options. This happened in front of a private residence. I saw a doctor. I have a broken rib, a broken wrist, and a broken front tooth. I am getting a replacement tooth.

It depends on who's responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the sidewalk, and that may depend on what city or county you live in. If the homeowner is responsible you need to get an attorney and file a claim against the homeowner's insurance, if you can prove that's where you got your injuries.
