Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

Can the city force you to pave your driveway? I have lived in the same location for 20 years. they are now trying to pass an ordinace mandating all gravel driveways be paved within x number of years.

You might be able to be grandfathered in but you should appear at all meetings where the city discusses this and make your voice heard. They can do it.
