Legal Question in International Law in Italy

copyright

I find often free data in the web (e. g. dividends of NYSE, corporate actions, IPO, etc.) mainly in financial sites. Can I disseminate in my country this kind of information without asking any permission, or I need at least quote the source? Thanks

Re: copyright

Information that is on the public web does can be disseminated; you would cite the source if you wanted to lend credibility to the information that way. Copyright only covers the format of the information and not the information. So change the format and don't simply cut and paste. If you do essentially cut and paste, then you will need to to get permission/license from the source.
