Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kansas

I was huntin with a buddy when we were confronted by a public works employee telling us we had been hunting on a waterfowl reserve.. Keep in mind we were confronted on public hunting grounds after the supposed trespassing had occured. It was based on hear say not by actually physically seeing us.. He took our info and said he would speak to gamewarden the next day.. A few days later I got a ticket in mail. Is that ticket valid considering issuing officer was never present.

A citation is a small version iof as criminal case. Do you think that everyone accused of murder, cannot be charged, because the arresting officer wasn't there to see the murder? Issuing a citation is a small version of arresting someone. Therefore, it is common for persons to be charged with game offenses, where the issuing officer or Warden di dnto see the crime being committied. However, relying just on non-officer eye witness tesitmony makes a charge tough to prove. They will still have to produce the witness (or your confession) in order to establish evidence that you committed the offense or which you are accused.
