When spousal maintenance (alimony) ceases, it causes a change in the percentage of income atributable to each parent on the child support worksheet. The correct income to use for a self-employed person is often difficult to determine, and usually results in litigation. Fortunately, if this is a Johnson County case, the matter can be heard rather efficiently by one of the Hearing Officers. Consult an experienced family law attorney. We are here to help.
