Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Hi hypothetically speaking here if you are to have an open and pending termination and adoption case and a step parent adoption can you move out of the state without ruining the whole case?. Can that state still keep jurisdiction?

The jurisdiction of the Court, is based upon the domicile of the child. If the child no longer lives in Kansas, Kansas may no longer have jurisdiction of the case.
