Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

Termination of maintenance

My ex-wife has been married for almost 3 years now and I can't seem to get the maintenance payment stopped. I have been told that I must file a ''Termination of Maintenance''. I have talked with Kansas Attornies willing to do this for $1500 but I don't have that kind of money. I want to file the pleading myself. Can you provide me with a sample pleading please? I have some experience with the law as I have been in law enforcement for 25 years.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Termination of maintenance

I cannot advise you as to Kansas procedures if your support order is with the Kansas courts. You have already contacted Kansas attorneys, as you mentioned. You might also consider contacting the Kansas Domestic Relations Court in the county through which your support order is being executed and inquire as to whether they provide information or forms for people acting pro se in support matters.

Good luck to you.
