If the lease does not specifiacally ban subletting,l the law oftenr presumes it is allowable. If the only reason you want to write the 60 day letter, is because they sublet units, you may not be able to to. But, if they are a month to month tenant, you only need give them a month's notice, by notice that you are canceling the month to month tenancy. You may be free them to set up seperate leases with the subletters/. The wording of any written agreemnt you and the renter have, and the remainder of the facts of your issue, control the legal outcome of you situation. Therefore, beforfe you decide how to act, you should consult directly with a civil attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
