Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Kansas

Police charging me unfairly.

My car was stolen. I reported it. The officer said it was found and he would get back in touch with me the same day. More than a week passed and he didn't get in touch with me. The fees are now close to $200. It's not my fault. What can I do?

You don't say which fees youre talking about. The officer has a lot of other tasks to follow up on, so make it your business to get your car back. You might get a judge to reduce the fees (if you're talking about towing or storage), but I don't think you'd get much sympathy for not following up on it yourself.
