Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas

What should a contract cover for house renting?

What should I put in a contract to rent a newly remodled house, everything is all new, inside and outside. The house is totally new.

Re: What should a contract cover for house renting?

Your question is too broad to give you a specific answer. I think you are asking "How can I protect the new stuff?" If that is so, then you will want to include a clause that refers to the stuff being new, and that only normal wear and tear will be allowed, and that anything further will be deducted from the security deposit. That is after they have signed a pre-occupancy inspection. Also if there are intermittant maintienance activities that need to be performed in order to keep the stuff new and appealing, then you will want to address who is to do which, in the lease.

Good Luck,
