Ownership of Dogs

Last year my a guy asked e to watch his dog for a weekend, and here it is a year later and now he wants his dog back. i have already registered the dog and got INSURANCE. can he legally get his dog back after a year w/o any papers?

Dogs are considered property. If you have registered the dog and he's abandoned the dog with you for a year, you have a good case to keep the dog. The worst he can sue you for is the value of the dog, which is likely a small claims matter. Make him prove ownership.
