My house which is now 25+ years old is caving in. We live in a subdivision and the water runoff comes right thru my crawlspace. It flows from one end of the house to the other. When the contractor built the house he knew there would be a water problem. He built in a ''drain pipe'' 1.5 to 2.5 inches at the lower end of my house thru the foundation. This drain empties into a ditch that runs between my house and my neighbors and is a collection point for our end of the subdivision. Because of the water, I have entire walls in my house that have dropped .5 to 1 inch. I also have had termite problems, and a foundation that is eroding due to the flow of water under my house. I have several doors that don�t open and shut properly and our family room floor feels like it could collapse at any time. I just want the problem corrected and the house fixed so that I can sell it if I choose to do so.

There are several issues that arise. Reading into your facts, the question appears to be whether you can make the builder fix the problem. This involves statutes of limitation and whether they have been tolled or not and other factors - such as whether you are the original owner, etc. You really should go to an attorney very soon about this.
