Biased Judge or Racist

A judge read one side of a police report and was ready to lock us up again. She repeatedly said she had to compose herself. She also said if the trial comes before her she would make sure we would get the maximum. This to me is being biased and maybe even racist, she is a black judge. We listened to every case before ours and 99.9 percent were black. Each one of those cases she spoke politely and with concern of their well being. We are talking about drugs, child neglect and weapons. She looked at our police report and she was ready to throw away the key. I thought we were innocent until proven guilty? Thank you for your advice.

Read this very carefully: GET A LAWYER. DO NOT MESS AROUND WITH THIS. GET OFF THE INTERNET AND TALK TO A LIVE LAWYER.

If you can't afford private counsel, get legal aid, but do not attemopt to deal with this without counsel.

If what you say is accurate--and I stress the "if"-- the judge has shown incredible bias about the case and your lawyer may be able to get her to recuse herself.
