Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Father doesn't ever see them

My ex and I have joint custody of our three children. They live with him most of the time. I get them 10 days out of the month. I am home after work at about 5:00 everyday. My ex works 2nd shift (3-11) so therefore only sees the kids every other weekend when he is off work. The kids are essentially being raised by his mother and girlfriend. The reason for me not getting possession was that Bullitt County thought the kids were doing fine in the enviroment that they were in and didn't want to move them to Jefferson County, which is where I live. Please help me.

Re: Father doesn't ever see them

On the one hand, it's not as if Bullitt & Jefferson are at opposite ends of the state. On the other, if the Bullitt court seems to be saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," you risk protracted legal battles & expenses to push for a change. I would urge you and your ex to strongly consider mediation to try to find something that might work better for all of you. Best wishes.
