Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Can This Happen? Please Help!!

In Dec.2000 I was in court due to a devorce. I had assumed it was final as Feb.2001 cause and I had heard nothing else. So, guessing that my Decree Of Devorce was in the mail, I married my 2nd Wife(IN THE SAME COUNTY)! Afterwards we were in and out of courts, due to my ex-wife wanting to change my child support to more than $800.00 a month. So, I assumed we were in and out of courts due to child support! And for the past 4 months she hasn't brought my child every other weekend as the courts ordered! So, I got out a court order on her! In return she had gotten mad and I have recived a Grand Jury Notice for Court! She is now trying to get me after 8 months for Bigamy. Also, we had a court date on May.2001 and there she had said she had heard we were married to put me in jail. I hadn't been sworn in, plus I never spoke to my Attorney about it (cause I assumed it was over)! Also, I figured if my marriage to her was still legal then how could myself and 2nd wife be married in the same Court House of the same County?? So,I said NO due to the fact of the info. above! Her Attorney at that time also had no Legal Paper's saying that we were! So in Sept. 2001 we havef't to go to Court over Bigamy and Perjury!

What can (WE) do?
