Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I'm thinking about emancipating myself and I'm asking this question now at 15 so I can decide if emancipating myself is a good idea before I decide to continue with this plan in 6 months when I'm 16. So my question's are, Is emancipation a good idea?, How can I be legally emancipated in Kentucky?, and What would I be seeing in the future of this case if I do decide to follow through with it?

A good idea? Probably not, unless you have sufficient resources to do so. The Court is unlikely to grant your emancipation unless there is a good reason why you should be emancipated, and have the ability to support yourself fully. You should start by speaking with a counselor about your reasons for wanting emancipation. Talk to your school guidance counselor or social worker before seeking legal counsel on the matter.
