Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Kentucky

In 2004 I had a double masectomy, at the time I was diagnosis, with A typical Abormnal cell, the doctor told me after surgery I did not have cancer and would not need chemo are any follw up treatment or checks done. I just recently been diagnosis with stage four breast cancer found in my heart sac caused by the cancer that was there all along. Can I go back and sue the doctor that said I didn,t have cancer. The doctor is a surgeon in Louisville, Ky and I live in Indiana?
