Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kentucky

Neighbor property damage

My neighbor claims that the person we hire to cut our yard used a weed trimmer near a small tree in her yard and inadvertantly killed it. She feels we owe her money to replace the tree.

As the property owner, can I be held responsible? I think she should take it up with the person she claims did the damage.

Re: Neighbor property damage

someone doing yard work hired by you is acting as your agent and you will be held accountable for his actions while in your employ. So yes, you may well be liable for your neighbor's tree damage.
