neighbor put cement lawn ornaments on our property

afew months ago our neighbor put cement lawn ornaments on our property to divide our proerties without our acknoweledgement.we had the land surveyed & it showed that it was on our property.we recently sent her a certified letter stating that she needed to remove them imediately.what i want to know is did we do the right thing?also my husband is asking her to remburse us for the survey fee.any help will be appreciated

If those ornaments are on your property you have the right to remove them. Sending her certified mail was fine but why didn't you just ask her to remove them since they are on your property. Remember, you may be neighbors a long time so handle this carefully. You had a survey prepared when you first moved in therefore, it was not necessary to have another prepared. If she removes the ornaments you may consider forgetting about the survey cost. Your call.
