Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Kentucky

Molestation/rape when I was little; now an adult.

I was molested/raped when I was a very young (~age 4) little girl by my uncle, who now resides in West Virginia. I never told anyone when I was younger until now so my uncle is ''free'' and not behind bars, where he should be. I am now 21, almost 22, and have told my current partner about my past.

My question is:

Is there anything legally I can do to put him where he belongs? If so, what and who would I contact?

I am not looking for money out of this situation, but I am wanting my uncle to be locked up so no other little child is hurt by him the way I was.

Thank you for all of your time and effort. I apologize for not selecting the proper category for this question, but I was unable to figure out where it belonged. Please feel free to let me know where I should be posting this and I will do so immediately.

You will need to contact your local commonwealth attorney's office and tell them your situation. They may be interested in pursuing criminal charges in KY depending on what evidence they can find.

Your uncle is guilty of committing a very serious crime. Sexual molestation of a child is a felony in every state. You should contact the office of your local Commonwealth's Attorney (called "District Attorney" in other states) and explain what your uncle did to you. Once he is indicted by a Grand Jury, he will be extradited back to where the crime was committed, to stand trial.

It is very brave of you to come forward, and I wish you luck. You are embarking upon a difficult and emotionally charged process; but one which hopefully will bring you closure and might serve to protect possible future victims of this man.
