Turned in to credit services as bankrupt wrongly by sears

2 years ago, sears turned my account in as in bankruptcy. They turned it in to 3 diff. agentcies. The person that was at fault has the same name as me,but a diff.middle int.I've been trying for 2 years to clear this.Sears says i have good credit but keeps turning me in for bankrupt.I have been turned down 3 diff. times for credit but have perfect rating except for the sears report. Is there any way I can bring a suit against sears.

Re: Turned in to credit services as bankrupt wrongly by sears

You are evidently the victim of what is known as a merged file, wherein the credit reporting agency mixed your file with that of someone with a similar name or social security number. Your complaint is actually with the credit reporting agency, not with Sears, although they may have been the one who reported the bankrutpcy under your name. You may contact me to discuss your options and what it is you would need to do.
