Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana

A fired employee has some important business files(including tax info, client info, invoices etc) and equipment at her home and she will not return these items. What can we do to get the items back?

You can press criminal theft charges or you can sue her for the return of the items. You should send a demand letter to her, certified mail, return receipt requested as this is proof of an attempt to recover the items.
