Legal Question in Business Law in Louisiana

My husband owns a baseball organization. We have created a contract (terms and guidelines) for the season that each parent receives reads and signs if the understand and agree to the terms listed. One of the terms is a payment term, stating that "in the event of leaving the baseball organization, you agree to pay the fees, as outlined, in full." Now, a parent has agreed to play, signed the contract, and is now backing out. Because of our contract, does my husband have the right to get paid as the contract states? Or is the contract unenforcable?

You will need to have an attorney read the contract in full to determine this issue. If you have not begun playing yet and the child opts out, you may be entitled to the sign up fee but nothing further. Most contracts have an opt out clause for either party but there may be a penalty. Good will also goes a long way in attracting business and keeping it so keep that in mind.
