Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana

Vinyl Siding installed improperly

I lost my home to a fire. The contractor doing the work had his workers installing vinyl siding

on my home. The job was not done correctly. The flashing was missing pieces and had gaps.

The siding on the side of the home also has gaps and does not flush together. You can see the lines on the siding down the sides of my home. They also bent a window frame when installing it. The contractor has had these men off of the job for a week and wants me to meet with the head of these workers on Wednesday. They want me to allow the workers to come back on the job and do it correctly. I really don't want these workers back because I don't trust them. The contractor must have found the cheapest labor he could find. I feel if they come back they will have to do it for free - will have an attitude and may deliberately sabbotage the job. I want to know if I can refuse to have these workers back on the job and insist on a new crew.

Re: Vinyl Siding installed improperly

They have the right, AND THE OBLIGATION to fix what they messed up....you have to give them at least one opportunity to fix what they messed up.
