Code of Criminal Procedure 893 is a provision whereby for a felony, disposition of sentence is suspended during a probationary period. If the probation is successfully completed, then the charges will be dismissed as an "acquittal", upon application to the court. Article 894 is for misdemeanors. You can look up the text online.
