Legal Question in Education Law in Louisiana

Can I sue my previous graduate school for tuition after I was dismissed?

I attended a private graduate school enrolled in a professional health program. I was dismissed from this program because I did not meet their academic progression standards. I only had 13 weeks left of clinical internships remaining before I was eligible to graduate. I now have 106 "useless" graduate school credits because no other professional program will accept them. I tried every possible means to petition my dismissal. The school denied every one of my submissions with the reasoning that "They were just following their policy." The dismissal was due to my GPA falling below 3.0. However, my cumulative GPA remains above their requirements. I had missed attaining an "A" by only 0.11%. Now I owe over $86,000 in student loans. My only remaining option with this school is to reapply in another year and redo their entire academic program which takes three years. The school promised me "a superior educational experience." This is certainly not what I received. My class was the first under a new director. In the three years that I attended, many changes were made to the program that went into effect with the class under my year.

I don't see a case there from the facts you state. Paying tuition doesn't guarantee you a degree or transferrable credits.
