Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

my 2 month old daughter was born in louisiana (where we lived and i am from) and i moved to my boyfriends moms house with him about a month and a half ago in splendora texas. we started fighting and they kicked me out and wouldnt let me take my daughter with me and i came back to louisiana. they will not let me see my child and he filed for sole custody. i have been trying to talk to legal aid in lake charles but they wont help me until i get served papers. i also need to get my belongings from there they would not let me in the house to get my things before i left. what can i do for now? im about to have a job but i havent started working yet and im applying for housing assistance until i can get back on my feet.
