Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

community property

i no longer live in louisiana for over a year. My divorce is now final but we are having trouble with the community property part. I had to go bankrupt when I left and they are still trying to get me to absorb the credit card debt ,she says i made purchases during our 20 year marriage she didnt know about, and wants to keep all her 401k and take half of my retirement. I have my kids and have not hired an attorney because of basically no money but she has one. Should I go to court on my own and hope for the best or bite the bullet and hire someone. I got quotes of over 4 thousand and just seems a lot for how litte we have. Any suggestions?
