Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

executive of estate

My mother was named ececutive of estate in my grandfathers will. He named me, mom, brother, & 2 uncles to receive 1/5 of total extate. He passed in 1-04. Now 4 years later my mother keeps saying succession is almost complete, however she has not filed any petitions with the court other than the will and to cash stock to pay her attorney. (no list of assests or taxes). shouldn't she have been finished? is there a way to get her off her butt? there is 130 acres and bellsouth stock involved.

As an heir you have a right to approach the attorney about the progress of the succession. Do not be timid. If not satisfied, get your own attorney.
