Dear Friend,

I hope you are not in bad health and think you might pass on soon. However, from the limited facts you state in your question, it appears to me that you are talking about whether or not your two sons will be able to draw Social Security survivor benefits based on your Social Security payments over the years and your and their Social Security entitlements. Probably so, but you should take this up with the Social Security office in your home town. Just call them up. Most Social Security business is conducted over the phone nowadays. I know that in many cases a minor child is entitled to draw Social Security payments in the event his parent who has paid into Social Security dies while he is still a minor, and probably until he finishes college. Again, I hope your health improves. I will say a prayer for you. Good luck, and may the Lord bless you and your boys!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Atty.

If you have paid into Social Security, your minor sons will be entitled to benefits. Go online and you can navigate through the social security website and get all your questions answered by them. www.ssa.gov Good luck.
