Dear LawGuru Friend,

You ask whether you "have to". The answer is

"No!" If you had asked, whether he might obtain

the right to visit with and see the child, the best

answer that I can give is "Yes!" However, your

former boyfriend will have to take legal action to

assert whatever rights he may be able to prove

he has. There is a lot more to it all than this,

but this is something to think about. If you can

afford it, buy you a copy of LOUISIANA FAMILY

LAW GUIDE and begin to read and learn what's

in it. It costs only about $20.00, plus postage

and shipping from Pelican Publishing Company

in Gretna, LA--Goggle it! If you will e-mail

me at [email protected] with your

name and phone number, I will call you and

discuss this matter further with you. There will

be no charge.

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, J.D.
