Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

A Stolen ATV financned for someone else

I financed an ATV for a friend in October of last year. This was done in agreement that he was to pay it off himself. His Mom, the salesman, and manager were all witness to this.

This February he lost his job and his mom took up payments. About 4 months ago that quit, too. On top of that, he claim the ATV was stolen-to which I do have a police report.

The payoff is over $9,000. Do I have any recourse? I have copies of all letters written to him concerning this, and much of the paperwork.

Your recourse is to sue the boy and his mother because you will be liable for the agreement you signed with the finance company.
