Legal Question in Immigration Law in Louisiana

International Student Marrying Green Card Holder

I am an international student from India studing here in Louisiana. Now I was chatting to a gal from India who is about to Immigrant here after 8 months along with her parents. She is under 21 so she is also eligible to come along with her parents.

I am interested in marrying her when she comes. I was wondering what would be my status if I marry her; would I get the green card right the way or how long would it take. And what about sponsership, she is just coming so she would not have any income tax return or anything like that to show to IRS for my support. And can I get an Employment Authorization after marriage so that I can work off campus. I tried to do google search and everywhere they talk about marriage to a US citizen and not about married to a green card holder.

I am interested in knowing what would be my status If I marry her (a green card holder who just moved to US)

Please advice it is very important for me.

If you marry her..you would not got EAD or any satus right away. You have to wait atleast 3 years..when you would be eligible to get V visa. Before that you must maintain your status!!!
