Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

how to find a good local personal inj. atty.

I am currently searching for a competent atty. to represent my interests in a personal injury matter in which I am involved. What are a few good questions or parameters to use in determining the suitabilitiy of a particular attorney to represent me? I have little experience in this area and I want to make sure I retain competent representation.

Finding a good trial PI attorney

I always tell people who are looking for a good attorney to ask a few of their friends to reccomend some attorneys. Ask around and do some research. Attorneys who are competent are willing to meet with you and discuss their experience with you. If you have a specific type of problem, such a medical malpractice case, then I would reccomend that you find attorneys who focus on that area.

Don't always think that big is better. Some of the best lawyers in our state are in small firms. Without going on too long...Shop around and make sure that you are comfortable with your attorney, because you will be working with him or her for several months at least.
