Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

5 Day Notice of Eviction

I signed a lease stating the lease terms were from October 12, 1999 to April 12, 1999. I gave my landlord written 30 day notice that I would be moving when the lease ended on April 12. The landlord stated that I had to stay until the end of April and pay a full month's rent. I told her she was given the appropriate 30 day notice and I would not be paying a full month's rent. Now she's served me with a 5 day eviction notice because of failure to pay. March rent has been paid in full. Do I have to stay until the end of April as she stated and since I gave her 30 days notice, do I have to pay a full month's rent for April even though I won't be there a full month?

An opinion cannot be given without reading the lease.
