Inherited property
My aunt died left a house 1/2 to me and my brother. I want him to buy me out ,he agrees. She recieved road home money before she died. But no work has been done on the house. How do we handle this the right way?

You need to open your Aunt's succession and probate the will so that the property is then in your and your brother's names. He can then sell or donate his 1/2 to you according to what is the best way to go. You need to get with an attorney to determined that. If you do not know an attorney in your area, let me know the parish where the property is located and I can give you some names to consider.
