Legal Question in Traffic Law in Louisiana

Time limitations on speeding tickets

Supposedly I was issued a ticket while traveling through Louisiana July 19, 1997 and it is just now showing up preventing me from getting my license in my home state of Tennessee. My question is there a ''statute of limitations'' on traffic tickets?

Respectfully,

Re: Time limitations on speeding tickets

If an attachment and/or suspension was issued, the ticket is still viable--have clients with old ones dating back to '86. I am leaving town but I would certainly be happy to attempt to resolve this when I return. You need to get the information on the court, the ticket number, your full name, etc. It depends upon the court but usually I can still keep something off of a record even if it were late. If you would like for me to help you, my website is www.neworleanstraffictickets.com and there is a link to contact me directly there. I will be happy to investigate it when I return but I am leaving tomorrow (much needed, believe me...). I can't say anything more without knowing the exact court. Handling past due tickets/suspensions/attachments is one of the major things which I do. IF YOU HAVE GIVEN ME WHAT I NEED, I WILL NOT CHARGE YOU TO SEE WHAT HAS TO BE DONE. If you have an official driving record entry or the ticket and fax it to me at 504-488-5470, it would help me greatly. Hope this helps. Don't pay it; moving violations increase insurance rates for years and can prevent you from renting a car. It's been a long time, if you can wait a week, I will try to help you. Hope this helps.
