Legal Question in Veterans Law in Louisiana

I was in the Army from Feb 2004 to July 2009 I enlisted in Feb 2004 for 4 years which my ETS date was Feb 2008. I got stop loss and was on my 2nd deployment in Iraq which was from Sept 2007 through Oct 2008 when before I was about to return back to the states I reenlisted. When arriving back to the US, I was not able to readjust and I suffer from PTSD as well as my brother and our friend who all served in the Army. Upon departure from my base in New York, the VA representative at that base told me that because I completed my first full term on service I still receive all my VA benefits. He said that when I reenlisted I was Honorably Discharged from the Army and re sworn back into that army and should of received a DD 256 form which is the Honorable Discharge Diploma. I seriously need help with this issue.
