Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Estate-Legal Rights

My dad suddenly died on 11/10/2003. Stepmother was made executor of Estate. She committed suicide 3 months later. Estate atty. for dad's estate allowed stepmother to open an estate account (piro to her suicide) under her and her daughter's name. Her daughter is not part of daddy's Estate, but yet she is paying the bills through his Estate account, for Estate. When her mom committed suicide the daughter was sole heir to her Estate, handled by the same attorney. Is this legal?

Re: Estate-Legal Rights

The real question is not who is the administrator but who is the heir. If your father had a will then get it and see what it says. If not, then state intestate succession law applies.

Gather all of the information available about Dad's estate and consult a lawyer.
