Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Is probate necessary

My wife and I lived in Texas. She died and left everything to me in her will. I have an Affadavit of Heirship from Texas stating that all her property is now mine. She left me some land in Louisiana. Is it absolutely for this to go through probate in Louisiana in order for me to sell the land...or should the Affadavit of Heirship be enough for the sale to be legal in Louisiana?

Re: Is probate necessary

The property in Louisiana would have to be dealt with by a Louisiana court because that is where the property is located: only a Louisiana court would have jurisdiction over it.
