Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

My ex-wife has primary residence of my children, but we share rights and responsabilities. I have them on weekends. I have reason to believe my children are being neglected physically and mentally. I am uncertain of my rights and want to remove them from her care as she has proven poor decision making skills on their behalf. What do I need to know?

You need to file a motion for change of custody in your original divorce case. This is something that you'll need a lawyer's help with since it can be difficult to prove at trial. You may also need to hire a Guardian Ad Litem to assist you in your case.
