Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

My ex wife is taking me back to court. She wants me to pay half the tuition of a private school. My daughter has been going to a public school while in middle school. I was never asked prior to any paper work being filed for attending the school. Can a judge make me pay for this? This in not the only school available for her. There is a public one also.My daughter will be a freshman in the fall. Thank you.
