i opened a sandwich shop in maine is it legal to use the word deluxe in front of my sandwich to discripe my cold meat sandwich.like deluxe torpedo

You should not have a problem with the word 'deluxe' as it is common. You would run into problems if you used trademarked names, so a "whopper torpedo" would likely cause you trouble with Burger King.
