Re: Property deeds

It should be a simple matter of having a deed prepared in which you grant your interest to both yourself and your new husband in joint tenancy, meaning that the property automaticly will vest with the surviving spouse upon death.

If there is a mortgage on the property you may need to contact the mortgageholder to notify them of the transfer, which is probably a technical requirement of your mortgage.

An uncomplicated transaction should cost no more than $125-$175. Feel free to contact me for assistance at 767-4824, or a lawyer you may already know. Thanks-
