Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Maryland

does a crimimal get out of jail if an appeal is won

Say a man is sent to jail, he appeals twice and gets to the Supreme Court of Maryland. The Supreme Court grants the appeal. Does the man get out of jail until the retrial?
