Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland

used car

I purchaced a used car in late Feb. I used my truck and 1,000 dollars for a down payment. I problems getting a title to the truck becuase my brother the lean holder lost the title. this past Friday the dealership asked for the title or the vehicle purchased back. I did not have the title to the truck, so I gave back the puchased vehicle. My question is can the dealership charge me 800 dollars for repairs on the truck. I had to give the dealership that amount in order to get my truck back. I inspected the truck and there are no repairs evedent other than the tires were rotated.

Re: used car

If the dealership did $800 in work on the truck on the expectation that they would need to get it in shape for re-selling, they should be able to give you an invoice detailing what they did. It seems unlikely that they would do nothing except rotate tires. Perhaps you either don't have or aren't providing all of the facts.
