Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
I was in a car as a passanger and the driver had marijuana in his middle consul and I am being,charge for it and,he already was charged and plead guilty , now I have to go to circuit court , im confused as to how im beimg charged first of and,why my pd. I might see a year in jail , this is not the first time I have been charged but its not my weed

Anyone may be charged with a crime. The maximum penalty for possession of marijuana is a year. You have the right to plead not guilty, but no one knows whether a jury will believe you or the state's witnesses. You may win, but you should know the possible consequences before you decide what to do.
