Re: child protective services

Child Protective Services always interviews children without a parent, or anyone else, present, unless there is some particular need for another person being present, such as a translator when the child does not speak English. The presence of a parent, in a situation where someone has been accused of child abuse or neglect, could make it highly unlikely for the interviewer to obtain any credible evidence of guilt or innocence.
