I was not working when our child support case first went to court. I was receiving SSI.I was awraded $400 per month for two children.I later did work for five years but had to stop due to disability. can the court order me to pay the father back?I was supporting two kids and had daycare expenses.

Re: child support

You won't be ordered to pay anything back. Once you started working, the father could have filed a petition to reduce the amount of support, which if granted could have taken effect no earlier than the petition filing date. Of course, he could still do that, but at $400/mo for 2 children he is probably paying less than he should anyway.
